"Hell, what about the true first generation Spears aggregation, the Kaw Valley Stump Jumpers,
four musical hacks/dilettantes  including yours truly, and one great musician, Bill Spears ?
All we ever made was beer money and we drank it to the last drop and played like it. 
Believe our real standout gig was playing the opening for the Bonanza Sirloin Pit on 23rd.  Nothing like being deluded. 
I still have an old 78 recording of four of our songs, but haven't the foggiest idea of how to digitize it."
